About Pampered Paws Pet Resort

Hello, my name is Melinda Moore, known by my friends as Jodi, and I am the owner and operator of Pampered Paws Pet Resort.  Welcome to our website.  We opened in January of 2003 as a pet grooming service and in 2004 expanded to offer boarding services.  We wanted to create a place, that you could leave your babies, with the peace of mind that they are in good and loving hands.  We feel as if we have accomplished that here at Pampered Paws.  I welcome this opportunity to introduce myself and my staff.

Up until the time I attended grooming school, I had always worked in area factories, never thinking about doing anything else.  What motivated me to make this change was the feeling I had when I picked up Sadie, my now 9 year old yorkie from the groomers.  She was so adorable and I was so excited to see how good she looked.  We had always had bigger dogs that didn’t need grooming, so I had never experienced this before.  It was at that moment that I decided to change careers.   I wanted to give people the same feeling about their pet as I felt that day.  I prayed about my decision for over a year and every door opened for me.  So, off to grooming school in Oklahoma City.  I am grateful to God for giving me this opportunity.  It’s a decision I have never regretted.

My daughter, Mandy McNair began working for me as a bather shortly after we opened.  She is my right hand girl, overseeing the day to day duties of the kennel.  Mandy has an innate ability to relate to animals.  They just take to her right away.  I’m certain they sense something very special about her.  Mandy was my child who was always bringing home stray dogs and cats so she could care for them.

My son, Shannon and his wife Elizabeth help out as needed and we also have an excellent volunteer in Susan.  We all have pets of our own that we love very much, with the majority of them being rescues.

Please come by and pay us a visit, and bring your babies with you.  We would love to be a part of their family of caregivers.
